Gently Used Children’s Books Needed
The Washington County Head Start, a program of the Washington County Economic Opportunity Council, is in need of previously used children’s books. The six sites of the Washington County Head Start have “Red Bookshelves” which are shelves filled with donated books for the Head Start children to take home, read and keep. Donations to the Head Start book program may be dropped off at the Head Start building at 18 River Street, Hudson Falls. Books are requested for the ages of 0-5 years of age, and further information regarding the program may be had by calling Linda Pollock at 747-2816, extension 209. Many of the families whose children benefit from this book program may not otherwise be able to purchase books for their families, so your donation of books no longer used by your family would make another family very happy. |
